Empowering Recovery Through Stability and Support

Recovery requires more than sobriety—it’s about creating a life of stability and self-sufficiency. MSCL House helps residents rebuild their lives by providing essential resources such as financial literacy education, matched savings opportunities, and physical health support. These tools empower individuals to regain control and move forward with confidence.

Financial Literacy Program

Achieving financial stability is a vital step in the recovery process. MSCL provides financial literacy classes to help residents develop essential money management skills.

These classes empower participants to:

Create and manage personal budgets.

Build a foundation for long-term financial success.

Understand and plan for their asset goals.

The Financial Literacy Program equips residents with these critical skills, laying the groundwork for achieving independence and financial confidence.

“It is an amazing opportunity you give to the men. Knowing that the money was available at the end was a relief. It was a security to have the money so that when I was ready to do what I needed to do, I could. I am proud that I was able to save and learn. I used the money to buy a car that helped me get to and from work in the winter months.”

Matched Savings Account Program (M$A Program)

The M$A program helps residents establish a pattern of regular savings while working toward a specific financial goal.

The program includes:

Matching deposits to encourage consistent saving habits.

Mandatory financial education classes to equip residents with the skills needed to manage and grow their finances.

A pathway to self-sufficiency by providing both capital and financial knowledge.

This combination of financial literacy and matched savings empowers residents to achieve significant milestones, such as purchasing reliable transportation or securing stable housing.

Physical Health Program

Effective recovery requires healing the mind, body, and spirit. MSCL supports this holistic approach through the physical health program, which provides residents with:

Access to gym memberships and fitness facilities.

Opportunities for outdoor recreation like hiking and skiing.

Funding for sport equipment rentals and wellness classes.

These activities help residents reconnect with their physical health and encourage them to take full advantage of the beautiful natural surroundings. MSCL fosters confidence, resilience, and overall well-being by promoting an active lifestyle.

“Staying at MSCL house I got to engage in a healthier way of living. I have been able to take advantage of fun outdoor activities that the Wood River Valley has to offer, such as skiing and hiking. Having access to Gravity Fitness has also played a role in my physical health. Until now living an active lifestyle was just a hope that would’ve never come to fruition.”
