Winter 2022 Dear Friends of MSCL House,
The holiday season can be especially difficult for those struggling with substance use disorder. During this time, our Board of Directors, staff and residents double down on recovery support and wrap-around care. Residents kept busy by volunteering, spending time with sober peers, working in the community, going to school, attending to their physical and emotional needs - all activities that contribute to the success of their long-term sobriety. We couldn't do this without your continued support and contributions to MSCL House. Thank you! The Valley Chambers 18th Annual Turkey Trot! MSCL House residents spent Thanksgiving morning assisting The Valley Chamber with the 18th Annual Turkey Trot. You might have seen us cheering on the runners at crucial spots on the course. One resident went so far as to dress as a turkey - a brave act, given that there were so many hungry people around! Our thanks to Mike McKenna and The Valley Chamber for allowing MSCL House residents to give back to the community. The Christmas tree, put up by MSCL House residents. The holidays were merry and bright at MSCL House; the tree was decorated and the outdoor lights were dazzling. Residents were especially grateful to the Sun Valley Realtors Association for holiday meal gift certificates and Coldwell Banker of Ketchum for winter jackets. A big thank you to Rob, Mike and Levi and all the members of the Life Church for their generous donation of jackets, boots, and Albertsons gift cards for each of our residents. These donations allow our residents to stay warm and nourished this holiday season.
Thank you to all who made the holiday season special for our residents!
Sincerely, Sonya Wilander Executive Director
