Friday’s events feature six nationally recognized pickleball professionals leading clinics, followed by a fun, high-energy tournament with exciting prizes for participants.
Saturday evening will showcase a special exhibition featuring tennis legends John McEnroe, Mats Wilander, Mikael Pernfors, and World No. 3 pickleball professional Caitlyn Christian. Guests will also enjoy dinner prepared by the Sun Valley Culinary Institute and a paddle raise, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Men’s Second Chance Living.

Following the 2 hour clinic, participants will compete in 1 hour of exciting match play with amazing prizes.

John McEnroe
• Former World No. 1 and seven-time Grand Slam singles champion.
•Won nine Grand Slam doubles titles and helped lead the United States to multiple Davis Cup championships during his legendary career.
• Continues to be a beloved ambassador for tennis through broadcasting, exhibitions, philanthropy, and family life off the court.
Mats Wilander
• Former World No. 1 and seven-time Grand Slam singles champion.
• Captured Grand Slam titles across multiple surfaces and earned recognition as one of the most respected competitors of his era.
• A longtime Sun Valley resident and dedicated supporter of Men’s Second Chance Living, Wilander helps lead and promote the annual pickleball fundraiser weekend benefiting men in recovery.
Mikael Pernfors
• Former World No. 10 tennis player and 1986 French Open finalist who captured three ATP singles titles during an accomplished international career.
• Won back-to-back NCAA singles championships at the University of Georgia before becoming a standout professional tennis player and active competitor in the pickleball community through exhibitions and special events.
• Known for his creativity, charisma, and love of racquet sports, Pernfors remains deeply involved in tennis and pickleball through coaching, appearances, and charitable events.
Kaitlyn Christian
• Current World No. 3 women’s pickleball player who transitioned full-time to the sport in 2024 and quickly earned podium finishes at the PPA Desert Ridge Classic and PPA Veolia Austin Cup.
• Former WTA doubles standout who reached a career-high tennis ranking of No. 38 and won an NCAA doubles championship at USC.
• Known for her elite athleticism and competitive energy, Christian transitioned full-time to professional pickleball in 2024 and has quickly become one of the sport’s premier competitors.
THE PROS
Brandon Hearn
• Former nationally ranked junior tennis player and captain of the University of Arizona Men’s Varsity Tennis Team.
• Finished 2025 ranked No. 13 in the Senior Pro Tour World Singles Rankings and competes at the highest levels of senior professional pickleball.
• A longtime racquet sports enthusiast, Hearn now serves as a teaching pro at Desert Mountain Pickleball Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, helping grow the game for players of all ages and skill levels.
David George
• Top-5 ranked Champions Pro singles player and Top-10 doubles competitor with multiple APP Champions Pro gold medals.
• Contracted player for the Kansas City Stingers in Major League Pickleball’s Champions Series and Head Teaching Pro at Sure Shot Pickleball in Naperville, Illinois.
• Known as “The Professor,” George has a Ph.D. in Philosophy and Ethics from Notre Dame, co-hosts the PT & The Professor Pickleball Podcast, and lives in the South Bend area with his wife and three children while mentoring incarcerated youth through sports programs.
Stefan Andren
•APP Champions Pro and Senior Pro Tour gold medalist with a No. 6 APP Champions Pro Men’s Doubles ranking in 2024.
• Former NCAA Division I All-American tennis player at UTEP and UIC, later becoming a top NPL draft pick and Team Captain for the Seattle Tsunamis.
• Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, Andren is a former Nike Product Design Director, entrepreneur, and investor who now lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife after discovering pickleball in Baja, Mexico.
Mattias Johansson
• Dominant senior professional pickleball player with 66 Senior Pro singles titles, multiple Grand Slam victories, and year-end World No. 1 rankings from 2022–2025.
• Touring professional on the APP, PPA, USA Pickleball Tour, and Senior Pro Tour, highlighted by 2024 and 2025 PPA World Championships and more than 212 consecutive weeks ranked No. 1 in Senior Pro Singles.
• Former nationally ranked tennis player and longtime collegiate coach, Johansson.
Rich Lopez
• Champions professional pickleball player competing across the CSP, APP, PPA, and Senior Pro circuits, known for his athletic style and relentless energy on the court.
• Co-GM of the Indy Drivers and member of the inaugural 2023 NPL Championship team, earning national attention for a viral diving save featured on CBS Sports.
• Passionate about growing the game through coaching, clinics, and mentorship, Rich is driven by faith, community, and a commitment to inspiring the next generation of players.
Scott Crandall
• Head Coach of the Bay Area Breakers Major League Pickleball team, leading the franchise to two MLP championships and multiple finals appearances.• Twenty-eight-time Senior Pro gold medalist who finished 2023 ranked No. 2 in Senior Pro Men’s Doubles and Top 5 in Mixed Doubles.
